Presentation
When the need to increase the quantity or quality of processed mineral appears, the installed equipment will require improvements or modifications that allow it, otherwise overloads, vibrations, cracking and others will appear. At InnovaAQP Ingenieros we have specialized in analyzing and designing plant improvements that allow for better results in mineral processing.
Improvement Opportunities
Cracking
The result of a sustained increase in the solicitation of the equipment and structures of a concentrator plant will be the appearance of stresses greater than those allowed, resulting in the appearance and propagation of cracks.
Vibration
It is common that increasing the loading or speed of ore processing and conveying equipment amplifies mechanical and structural vibrations, possibly causing fatigue failures, sometimes with catastrophic consequences.
Slurry
When a slurry transport system is consistently loaded beyond its design capacity, the result will be the occurrence of spills. If the concentration of solids is greater than the design values, the result can be sanding of boxes, launder and pipes.
Chutes
When the granulometry or hardness of the ore changes considerably in a concentrator plant, it is probable that jams and wear occur in the chutes. If the capacity to be processed is greater, then spillage or plugging may occur.
Sección
We have specialized in the design of solutions for concentrator plants, using classic engineering analysis along with state-of-the-art computer simulations, such as FEM (finite element), CFD (computational fluid dynamics) and DEM (discrete element).
